How to reach Institut Henri Poincaré
The meeting will take place at Institut Henri Poincaré, (room number 201 at 9:00 morning) 11, rue Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris V. It can be easily reached from RER station Luxembourg. Be sure to take a local map with you to find your way.
The meeting area is easily reached by RER B train, station Luxembourg . Get out by the southern end of the platform, take the small rue de l'Abbe' de l'Epee on the left of the exit, then left on rue Saint Jacques, cross rue Gay-Lussac, then right on rue Pierre et Marie Curie, cross rue d'Ulm to rue Lhomond. If you get out by the (main) northern end of the platform, take rue Gay-Lussac on the right until rue Saint-Jacques, then rue Pierre et Marie Curie as above.
To reach RER station Luxembourg,
- From Charles de Gaulle Airport: take the free airport shuttle to the RER train station, then any RER B train (they all go to Paris). Get off at station Luxembourg. (30 min, 10 euros)
- From Orly Airport: Except during rush hours, the fastest and cheapest way is to take the ORLYBUS to Denfert Rochereau (terminus, 30min, 7euros), then RER B northward to Luxembourg (2 stops down). You may also take the ORLYVAL fast train to Antony RER station (10 min, 10 euros) then RER B to Luxembourg (20 min).
- From Gare du Nord: take RER B south to Luxembourg
- From Gare de Lyon: take RER A westward (direction Versailles) to Chatelet (one stop), then change to RER B southward ( not the train on the same platform, which goes north !).
